It’s been months since the finale of first season of “Daredevil” premiered and now fans are already expecting season two to begin filming. Earlier, it was looked just like a speculation, but now it seems that it may just be the case.
According to International Business Times, the season 2 of “Daredevil” is on the floor. However, there are no such spoilers out in the air, except the fact that there are chances that a new special character will join the cast as a regular.
Charlie Cox, “The Walking Dead” and “Fury” star is in terms to join the cast as vigilante superhero “The Punisher.” A leaked photo from the production revealed the 38-year-old actor beating up a man who has a gun. In the picture, the character is not wearing any costumes, but that did not stop him from ‘punishing’ the man for whatever the thing he did.
Steven DeKnight, the show-runner of season 1 has stated their version of The Punisher for the second season of “Daredevil” will be closely related to the Marvel version of the character. There have been many films that showed The Punisher but none of the film came relatively close to DeKnight’s version of The Punisher in “Daredevil.” He later added: “This is really the first time that we’re seeing the Marvel Studios from the Iron Man days, when they can control their own product, actually do this character.”
Not only this, to spice things up, Bernthal tweeted a picture of himself reading a Marvel comics version of The Punisher. Along with The Punisher, there are chances that Elecktra, another sai-wielding superhero will make her debut with the second season of “Daredevil.”
Till now, there is no official news for the second season of “Daredevil,” but the fans are very much excited for the upcoming Netflix original drama.
