Fans of the hit Netflix and MARVEL show, “Daredevil”, won’t have to wait any longer in order to learn what the highly anticipated second season will be all about. A co-showrunner of the show has already dropped a very big hint as what will be happening in the second season. Read on to learn more about this story.
The season finale of “Daredevil” found the hero of Hell’s Kitchen putting Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) otherwise known as the Kingpin, behind bars. But without the Kingpin trying to make life difficult for Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), what new challenges will the lawyer turned vigilante be against?
According to an earlier report on Movie News Guide, the Punisher, or Frank Castle will be making an appearance throughout the season in the form of former “The Walking Dead” actor Jon Bernthal.
As most True Believers know, the Punisher is a ruthless killer with only one target on his mind. He wanted eliminating all criminals with all means necessary, including brute force and bullets.
According to Nerdist, “Daredevil” co-showrunner Marco Ramirez has described the upcoming second season as “The Punisher versus Daredevil”, which he meant both literally and figuratively.
Now that the Kingpin is gone, the vigilante known as the Punisher is around in order to execute justice to those street criminals mid-level gang leaders who are now scrambling and clawing their way to the top to become the next Kingpin. However, this kind of justice doesn’t sit well with the Man Without Fear. It was especially due to the collateral damages which Hell’s Kitchen has to suffer due to the Punisher’s fights. According to the article, this battle may also occur in a more “philosophical” sense. However, it has also been speculated that the Punisher may be one of Daredevil’s antagonists later in the season.
What do you think about the upcoming second season? Do you think that these two big vigilantes will deck it out on the streets of Hell’s Kitchen?
