It has been recently revealed that former soccer star and people’s magazine’s sexiest man alive winner for 2015, David Beckham was made a joke of when he revealed his idea of making a documentary.
Beckham’s TV bosses almost laughed at it and didn’t take the entire matter seriously. The soccer star has recently done a program for BBC where he played games in seven continents. The entire concept has been curated on behalf of the children’s charity UNICEF.
As reported by Female First, it has been hard for him to bring the entire concept onto the screen for viewers.
“People sat down with us and actually laughed at the things we wanted to achieve. And to be honest, rightly so!”, Beckham revealed.
The special part of this TV show has been the fact that it has given the star an opportunity to travel different places together when he keeps his passion for his game as well. This combination has helped him grew as a better human being.
In a conversation, he explains beautifully that how he has been loving various cultures and meeting different people together with visiting entirely new places on earth that he has never seen before. Some of the places that he has visited have been related to depiction of the soccer’s power and its impact on people’s lives.
Since 2005, Beckham has been an ambassador of the United Kingdom. The David Beckham UNICEF Fund has been launched in 2015 by him that basically focuses on protecting children in the world. As per him making a documentary is an important part to actually bring alive whatever he has learnt throughout his journey.
