Heads up, Android (Zoie Palmer), another android, whose design and purpose is wholly different from that of the Raza’s android, is heading the “Dark Matter” crew’s way on the seventh episode, which will air on July 24, 2015. This android will come in the form of actress Ruby Rose. However, she isn’t the only upcoming guest star on “Dark Matter,” as Joseph Mallozi has teased the appearance of another star on his official blog. Read on to learn more about this story.
According to the website of Entertainment Weekly, actress Ruby Rose, who became famous after joining the cast of the hit Netflix show “Orange is the New Black.” Rose will be joining the crew of “Dark Matter” for its seventh episode which will air on July 24, 2015, where she will be portraying an android.
According to the official blog of show creator Joseph Mallozi, the android Rose will be portraying is named Wendy. Wendy, who is described as an entertainment android, will be found by the crew, disassembled, on the ship. Once activated, everyone on the crew, except for the ship’s Android (Zoie Palmer) takes an immediate liking to her. This causes tension to mount, as the two Androids begin to play a tug of war with each other, to see which android the ship’s crew prefers.
However, according to Mallozi, Rose isn’t the only “Dark Matter” guest star planned, as actor David Hewlett, who is more popularly known for his role as Dr. Rodney McKay on “Stargate SG-1,” “Stargate: Atlantis” and “SGU: Stargate Universe,” will be guest starring for a couple of episodes.
According to Mallozi, he will be portraying a character named Tabor Calcheck, the Raza crew’s handler. Manipulative. With an eye to spot out a profitable opportunity, Calcheck uses his underworld connections in order to secure assignments and missions for the crew.
