In the success of the last four “Harry Potter” films under one direction, it comes to no surprise that According to Cinemablend, the studio has tapped Yates be the director of another of J. K. Rowling‘s new spin off series “Fantastic Beats and Where to Find Them.” Read on to learn more about this scoop.
David Yates was the very visionary who has brought the Wizarding world to a praiseworthy cinematic dimension that everybody has come to adore. The notable director helmed several blockbuster based on the book series. These movies included such as “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix,” “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” and “Harry Potter Deathly Hallows Parts 1 & 2.”
This time around, he has been called to once more adapt J.K. Rowling’s book into the big screen. It is a spin off of Harry Potter’s world that is centered on its amazing beasts entitled “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.”
Cinemablend also reported that nothing is set on stone for the works of the production, but Warner Bros Studios and David Yates’ creative team are in deep negotiation for the reputable director to head the production of this budding franchise.
Screen Rant, on the other hand, pointed out that the Potter universe has enough popularity to pull in a massive amount of viewers for such upcoming movie series, but one cannot deny how much Yates was able to manage the complicated measures of the films commercial success more than once. If credentials are what they ask, sure enough Yates has proven himself in the way he successfully directed half of the “Harry Potter” series to great effect. Not only is he familiar with the creation of the Wizarding world, he’s also very acquainted with the author’s vision for the books, guaranteeing the output in a huge scale.
It was last fall when J.K. Rowling announced that she was working on the screenplay for the HP bonus book that was “a narrative mock textbook cataloging the many supernatural creatures that existed in the Potter Universe.”
“Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” is set years before Harry Potter was born. Approximately 70 years prior to the existence of The Boy Who Lived, the book’s main fictional author named Newt Scamander takes on a journey of exploration to trace out the magnificent creatures that existed alongside the wizards. From there on, it was divulged that the movie will be set as a franchise with three films – a trilogy with its first movie gracing the theaters by Nov. 18, 2016.
Currently, David Yates is also working on another Warner Bros film “Tarzan” and he’s deliberating whether you are not his two projects will coincide should he push forward in the direction of the Harry Potter spin off movie. Nothing is still set on stone for the initial production phase for “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” but it’s safe for everybody to assume that Yates is the perfect visionary for the new adaptation.
