The arrival of “Constantine” on our TV screens is getting closer. Just when we thought that everything is all set, the show has added a new cast member to the show, and he is bound to make things even more interesting. Read on to learn more about this scoop.

Emmet Scanlan (“Guardians of the Galaxy”) is going to play a recurring role to the occult drama as Detective Jim Corrigan or the DC Comics superhero, “The Spectre.”

IGN described his character as a homicide detective who will delve on Constantine’s secret word of horrors. He will be obsessed with justice and nothing can stop him from busting the bad guys, even if in cases they are not humans.

“Constantine” stars Matt Ryan as the show’s lead character who fights with demons through his knowledge of the occult. With Scanlan joining the show, who is “obsessed with justice,” we wonder how these two will get along — or will they?

In fact, DC Comics fans know that Corrigan will become the spirit “The Spectre” who’s out for some revenge. This is going to be really interesting.

A lot of DC Comics fans and even those who are not, are awaiting the premiere of  “Constantine.” There is no doubt in that because the series looks promising, judging from its trailer.

“Constantine” will premiere on Oct. 24, 2014 on NBC.
