Movie and TV show reboots have begun gracing the big screen as of late, and one does not simply undermine a movie that has Denzel Washington portraying Robert McCall in “The Equalizer” as he walked out of an explosion unscathed and indifferen in Sony Picture’s recently released TV spot. Read on for further details.
If there is ever an actor who is built to take the role of an average-looking man with a hard-ridden military background, you can count on Denzel Washington to deliver it with praiseworthy visage, complete with intense feels. Sony Pictures has recently released a new TV Spot for the upcoming action film “The Equalizer.”
If the first trailer showcased how much of a bad-ass Denzel is with the way he overclocks the time as he eliminates his opponents, the recently released TV spot showcased how he is in his newly formed normal and peaceful life. You shall then see him as a salesman in the hardware store Homemart, as he takes on the persona of a calm but OCD-driven employee. You would see no correlation in his past violent life until a scene surfaced where his curious colleagues asked him about his life before the store. A montage sequence of action-packed shots trumped over the trailer. However, the whole sequence highlighted a slow-motion of Robert McCall walking out of an explosion without looking back and appearing as stoic as ever — talk about being legendary in a span of seconds.
The TV spot featured the latest song collaboration of Eminem and Sia entitled “Guts Over Fear,” and such qualities were fairly visible throughout the second trailer of the film. On Screen Rant’s feature, the movie is somewhat based on the 1980s TV show that bears similar title. The movie has received a lot of positive feedback lately that Sony Pictures is gaining confidence to assure the coming of a sequel. If this really takes into effect, this franchise will be the first of all Denzel Washington movies that will take off with him being part of the installment. Looking at it in a viewer’s point of view, the film offers a franchise premise with the way Robert McCall is the justice-driven vigilante who offers justice among those who have perished and were brutalized helplessly.
Chloe Grace Moretz will be starring alongside the Hollywood A-lister Denzel Washington in “The Equalizer.” The film is directed by Antoine Fuqua and is penned by “The Expendables 2” writer Richard Wenk. The movie will be released on Sept. 26, 2014.
That concludes our feature for the recently released TV spot of the upcoming action film, “The Equalizer.” Keep tabs on Movie News Guide (MNG) for the latest updates in the entertainment industry.
