Devious Maids stars Roselyn Sanchez, Dania Ramirez, Ana Ortiz and Judy Reyes were in doldrums now that the show is over. The actresses took to social media to express their letdown following the cancellation of their series.
Roselyn Sanchez, who plays Carmen in Devious Maids tweets, “Playing CARMEN LUNA was one of the most amazing & rewarding experiences of my life… Thanks #DeviousMaids Devious Army for the love & support.”
Likewise, Dania Ramirez a.k.a. Rosie expressed her gratefulness for being part of the series. The Latin American actress posted a video on Instagram, thanking everyone who became part of the series including the writers, producers, actors and crew. Rosie Falta will live on forever now, she noted.
Ana Ortiz, who left the biggest cliffhanger because her character Marisol is missing, answered a question from a fan. When a fan asked if Marisol is okay, Ortiz replied that Marisol always lands on her feet.
Judy Reyes, who plays Zoilla retweeted a fan’s tweet which goes, “I am so sad today! Devious Maids is not renewed for a Season 5…”
Following the cancellation, fans of the Desperate Housewives-inspired series made a petition on Change.org. The petition from Devious Army says fans were hoping to see how it would end. They would not mind having less episodes or a TV movie, as long as it give them the chance to say goodbye.
The series was one of Lifetime’s two scripted shows. The other one is UnReal, which has more nominations and positive reviews from critics than Devious Maids. Still, fans pointed out that it does not have strong ratings compared to the concluded series.
