Just when we thought we would not be seeing any of the hot maids anymore, “Devious Maids” got renewed for a third season! Read on to learn more about it.
The question here, why did the show’s renewal took so long? One of the reasons was the license fee haggling that usually happens in all TV shows, and the other reason, creator and executive producer Marc Cherry was not up for the third season of the show, which definitely caused a bit of chaos in production.
In fact, Cherry has been open about it.
“The time is coming to a close on my day-to-day showrunning. I’m just getting old. I just had my 52nd birthday,” he said. In order to relieve him from stress, the show has gotten Brian Tanen as executive producer and co-showrunner who’s been with the show since the very beginning.
In the Season 2 finale of the show, Carmen slept with a mysterious man whom she met at a bar and promised her a meeting with a record executive, but then after having sex, the man revealed to her that the executive is actually his wife. Carmen, knowing that it was a good idea to just leave things like that, will find that in the third season of the show, it will be difficult as she will have to face him again because Gilles Marini, the mysterious man she met at the bar, has just become a series regular this upcoming season.
As of now, no premiere date has been confirmed for the third season of “Devious Maids.” What do you think? Are you happy with this news? Let us know by posting your comments below!
