Devious Maids Season 4 finale did leave the fans urging Lifetime to renew the series for yet another season. The story about Marisol Suarez, played by Ana Ortiz, keeps the viewers wondering about what will happen next. While she gears up to marry her producer-boyfriend Peter Hudson, played by James Denton, Marisol suddenly disappears.
Moreover, the mystery on the events that other maids are not aware of seems deadly. The excitement gets an all time high as the co-executive producers (EP), Sabrina Wind and Brian Tanen, sound hopeful over Devious Maids Season 5 to happen soon. The former further stresses that they have plans to deal with Marisol’s disappearance. She says that “It will launch us into the new season. We have many thoughts of what it all means, but we have to wait to talk to Lifetime about them. It will be a completely new story.”
Both the executive producers wanted an interesting and surprising Devious Maids Season 4 finale. This is one of the ways to capture Lifetime’s attention to think over the new season for the series as per recent updates.
Furthermore, plenty of speculations are already there over Devious Maids Season 5 and Ana Ortiz’s Marisol. Some state that it can be some old lover of Marisol who comes out to take revenge on her. Maybe he does not want her to marry Peter.
Another angle that stands strong is that it can be Peter’s ex-wife Genevieve Delatour, played by Susan Lucci. She could have gotten jealous of Marisol. And she would not have wanted Peter to marry again — even though the two women made amends between each other. But the rich executive could not stand her ex-husband going to any other woman.
According to Game N Guide, fans of Devious Maids have signed up on Care2Petitions. They want Lifetime and ABC to reconsider the season renewal for the series.
Were the executive producers really able to take the viewers’ attention in Devious Maids Season 4 finale?
