You’ve got Disney backing up Marvel’s superhero trends storming the box office these days, but it is very important for them that they do not lose their essence as one of the esteemed animation companies known in the globe. On Cinema Blend’s feature of Disney’s release, Jon Favreau was more than happy to accept the remake project of “The Jungle Book” and is really excited to make things happen. The actor-director shared an in-depth statement to Collider and confirmed the presence of some mythical elements of the film.
"You have the Kipling stuff, which has a really strong mythic theme, which is great for a big movie like that. I love big themes and a hero’s journey and the whole Joseph Campbell aspect of it, but then you also have this personality of the Walt Disney [animated] film – which, although tonally is different than what we’re doing, there’s a lot of great images and feelings that I remember from being a kid that I’d love to incorporate using today’s technology and storytelling techniques," expressed Favreau exuberantly on Collider.
