“Divergent: Allegiant” stars Theo James and Shailene Woodley share an undeniable chemistry onscreen and behind the scenes. “Allegiant” movie is nearly a year away from hitting the theatres but fans are already excited to see Tris and Four back on the big screens. While much of the success of the “Divergent” series is attributed to fans of Veronica Roth’s series, part of it is also due to the undeniable chemistry that its lead stars, Shailene Woodley and Theo James share onscreen.
While fans are hoping for a relationship happening in real life between James and Woodley, it turns out that these two will settle for friendship beyond the cameras. However, James told Times Union that he is hoping for more to come between him and Woodley.
“In a nice way, Shai and I – it’s a slow burn. We are 100 percent good friends, but it’s a slow burn thing; I think there’s still more to come. At least I hope so,” he said.
Woodley and James always had good words about each other, whether in separate or joint interviews. The 30-year-old actor told the outlet that he thinks of Woodley as a great actress, who continues to grow as a person.
It turns out James was not the only one who spoke highly of “The Fault in Our Stars” actress. As previously reported, Woodley’s co-star Allen Evangelista from “The Secret Life of the American Teenager” seemingly shared the same thoughts as James’.
“She’s always been really nice and sweet… She’s very, very sweet and humble and down-to-earth,” Evangelista said.
