“Divergent” series star Theo James who plays the character of Four, Tris’ lover, shared some interesting insights into a past personal experience. Theo James also opened up about work and why he picks up on different genre work apart from his character’s mainstream persona. Read on for more details.
In his recent interview with Yareah, James shared an old ghost story. Though, he did not say he believes in one but the creepy part was that he couldn’t make out where the noise is coming from!
“I don’t think I believe in ghosts, per se. But, my nearest experience was when I went on a weekend away and was in a bar in England, years ago, with an ex-girlfriend. I heard this scratching. I was about to go to bed!” James said.
James who is working on the blockbuster franchise “Divergent” whose recently only re-titling ad new poster release happened, wants that he be recognized for his acting skills. He admitted coyly that he knows that he receives so many offers because of his looks but wants to make a mark only through his acting.
Four of “Divergent” series also explained that what keeps him in character is osmosis therapy rather than directly thinking about the character. When asked about his recent Hugo Boss’s new men’s fragrance, Boss the Scent campaign, James praised the masculinity of the ad and old-school look. He also added that it is more fun to do an ad because there is so much creativity involved.
“There’s no dialogue, so you have to invent a story in your head. Otherwise, you’re just standing there looking like a dude standing there.” James said.
In conversation with Interview, the British actor expressed his need to do characters different from his role in “Divergent” series. He very rightly puts it that since he is working for a huge franchise on a long-term basis, he has to be interesting and wacky with projects. James admit there’s a temptation to do similar projects as they are easy to get but to fight and do something different would only add to his career credibility.
