The 30-year-old British actor, Theo James started his career with “A Passionate Woman,” starring along Billie Piper. He is famous for portraying varied roles in films like “Bedlam,” “Golden Boy.” However, Theo James got worldwide recognition by playing the role of Four in sci-fi “The Divergent Series.”
In recent interviews, James shed light on his career life and his choice of future work that may prove him as a different actor.
In an interview with the Interview Magazine, James said that “The Divergent Series” has given him the fame and name, which he always wanted. At the same time, he revealed that when an actor is working in a film franchise things are very different because the world sees them as that character only. This adds to the fact that one gets a proper recognition but it gets totally different when doing a different films. “I do think it will affect your career in the long term. I like doing things I find interesting and wacky,” he added.
James, who is dating Ruth Kearney since 2009, also said that being an actor is not at all easy vocation as they are connected with the world. Along with that, it happens many a time that few actors do not understand the thin line between being an actor and being a celebrity.
With an interview with Flickeringmyth, he said that there are many actors who embrace the fact of being a good actor and handling the fame it brings. “You never want to perceive yourself through anyone else’s eyes and whether that’s the media of a social thing, or someone coming up to you in a bar,” he added.
Theo James will be next seen in 2016, reprising his role of ‘Four’ in the next installment of “The Divergent Series.” He is also going to star in John Michale McDonagh’s “War on Everyone” alongside Alexander Skarsgård and Michael Peña.
