Everybody’s favorite mad-man with a box is jumping through time, dimensions and even studios. That is right, “Doctor Who” is going to make an appearance in the upcoming sequel to “the LEGO Movie,” director Rob Schrab just teased! Read on for more details.

The Doctor goes where he pleases, and this time, he is going to “The LEGO Movie” sequel. The director of the sequel, Rob Schrab, who is taking over from franchise creators Phil Lord and Chris Miller, was in conversation with “Community” creator Rob Harmon in his weekly podcast Harmontown. Schrab revealed that Warner Bros was in talks with BBC to borrow one of their characters for their upcoming animated feature.

And thus, the TARDIS is materializing into the LEGO universe. Schrab has not elaborated which Doctor will be appearing, or if all the incarnations will show up (hey, it is an animated feature, it can’t be too hard for them to get all the Doctors), since it is really too early in the day for such secrets. But one can always hope for 11th (since it is beyond the realm of any animation to render David Tennant’s hair using LEGOS).

We are guessing that it is probably going to be a cameo, but if batman could have a pretty sizeable role in the first film, there is no reason for the Doctor to not engage in some substantial wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey on screen.

The 12th Doctor is already a part of the LEGO universe, appearing in the LEGO: Dimensions with his faithful K-9, Screen Rant reported. With this appearance, if it does pan out that, the Doctor will make the first transition to the movies since 1960’s Peter Cushing film.

However, there is still a long way to go before this happens, since the LEGO sequel is only scheduled to hit theaters on May 18, 2018. We do have “LEGO: Batman” to look, as it will grapple gun its way to us slightly earlier on Feb 10, 2017.
