BBC has finally made it official. “Doctor Who” Season 8 will kick off on August 23, 2014 at 8:00 p.m. on ET, featuring the episode, “Deep Breath,” in which we will see the 12th doctor. This will also mark the 12th doctor’s first appearance. Moreover, a new teaser was revealed, following the release date announcement of the show. In the teaser, we saw Peter Capaldi with Clara Oswald, discussing moral dilemmas.
With Matt Smith gone, Peter Capaldi is here to take over his role as the 12th doctor. We first saw Capaldi in November 2013 for the 50th anniversary special of the show, and we also saw him towards the end of their 2013 Christmas special. With his multiple appearances in 2013 on the show, Whovians have grown a bit accustomed to his character, and Capaldi will also be part of the first ever “Doctor Who World Tour” that will start in the summer of 2014 in Wales. Capaldi and Coleman will make stops in Seoul, London, Sydney, Rio de Janeiro and Mexico City, and both are expected to be in New York on August 14, 2014, just in time for the Season 8 premiere of the show. Other cast members who will be joining Capaldi are Samuel Anderson (Danny Pink), Ben Miller, Tom Riley and Keeley Hawes.
