Zac Efron, like many others, wants to make a name for himself. That is why it isn’t any wonder why “We Are Your Friends” has released a new trailer to hit the world of electronic dance music. Read on for more details.

According to People Magazine , Efron plays the role of an aspiring DJ named Cole. His character wanted to make it big in the EDM scene at Hollywood. In the end, he has gained the attention of veteran DJs who later on became his mentors.

However, things got out of hand when Efron started to fall in love with his mentor’s girlfriend, played by Emily Ratajkowski from “Gone Girl.” The aspiring DJ was then confronted to make difficult decisions that would compromise his career and his romantic life.

Real-life DJs made cameo appearances for the movie including Dillon Francis, Them Jeans, Alesso and Nicky Romero. The movie was named after the 2006 EDM banger, “Justice vs. Simian.”

The new trailer for the film dubbed as the movie for this year’s summer lasted 3 minutes long. It also showed how the aspiring young DJ struggled his way to be able to make it big in Hollywood. The trailer also showed a muscular version of Efron wearing tan skin, musically talented and has an introspective personality.

The movie was directed and co-written by Max Joseph who worked as the “cameraman” for “Catfish: The TV Show.” This was also Joseph’s debut as a film director. The movie was slated release in the United States on Aug. 28, 2015 while the release date for U.K. is yet to be confirmed. Fans of Efron can wait for the release of the movie on the big screens and see if the young actor has enough good traits and talent to become a real life DJ.
