“Under the Dome” season 3 spoilers revealed that a new cast member will be joining the CBS series. Several reports claim that “ER” alum Eriq La Salle will be part of the Stephen King based series, as Hektor Martin.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Eriq La Salle will be playing Hektor Martin, “a ruthless CEO of the energy company run by Barbie’s father.” It was also mentioned that the “ER” actor will direct “Under the Dome” season 3 episode 9, he previously direction an episode in season 2, called “The Fall.”

“Under the Dome” season 3 returns on June 25, with a two-hour long premiere. Check out the trailer for the latest season below:

As Movie News Guide previously reported, “Under the Dome” has received a $5 million state grant from the recently launched North Carolina Film and Entertainment Grant. It will be exciting to see how the showrunners will use the additional budget to create even more interesting and action-packed scenes.

“Under the Dome” season 2 ended with a major cliff hanger, in which viewers saw Barbie (Mikel Vogel) leading the residents of Chester’s Mill in a mission to get out of the cave and safely return home. To make matters worse, a huge rock blocked their way. Thankfully, a butterfly rested on the rock and triggered it to split open. Melanie’s (Grace Victoria Cox) apparition also appeared and told them that they will soon finally be able to return home.
