Drew Barrymore made Mother’s Day special for mothers with sick children. The ‘hero’ moms received special pampering alongside their kids. The Mother’s Day event was organised by Drew Barrymore’s cosmetic line FLOWER Beauty on Friday at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
Drew Barrymore, 40, is herself mother to two daughters, two-and-half-year-old Olive Barrymore Kopelman and one-year-old Frankie Barrymore Kopelman with husband Kopelman. She is also godmother to Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love daughter, France Bean Cobain, 22.
The event had hair and makeup artists for the ‘hero’ moms and face painting manicures for the children. The event is considered as an annual thing by the cosmetic line FLOWER Beauty. Drew Barrymore had this event organised in the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles last year also on the occasion of Mother’s Day. Last year, Moms and kids received mini-makeover with goodie bags by Drew’s make-up line.
Mother of these children has to mostly stay by the side of their kids during the recovering process and it’s not possible for them to leave their children behind. But the event helped moms of these children to receive a day of pampering while still be taking care of their children.
The event had brought smile waves in Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. Whole makeup and hair station was setup to pamper mothers and cute face painting and manicures were cherished by the children.
Mothers and kids both enjoyed the event as reported by People. The source also added Drew Barrymore’s opinion about the event and the mothers, “These mothers are heroes that deserve our attention and gratitude.”
Drew Barrymore also spent Mother’s day with her two daughters. She posted a cute picture with two-and-half-year-old, Olive, on Instagram in which Olive is kissing her mom Drew on the cheek and captioned it, ‘And Mother’s Day weekend begins!!!!! #happymothersday.’
We wish every mother, A VERY HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!
