19-year-old John Luke Robertson, who is the Robertson family junior from “Duck Dynasty,” married 18-year-old Mary Kate McEacharn with whom he got engaged in October 2014. The couple tied the knot on June 27, 2015 at the Robertson family’s farm in West Monroe witnessing more than 800 family members and friends. Read on for more details.

“I had an amazing time! It was one of the best days of my life! It was everything I hoped it would be and more,” said John Luke and Mary Kate in an exclusive interview with US Weekly.

A mariachi band performed before the ceremony started that was officiated by John Luke’s dad, Willie Robertson. A local band played The Beatles hits like “Here Comes the Sun,” “Amazing Grace,” “Sweet Caroline,” and “Stand By Me.”

“[Mary Kate] wanted it real fun, real casual, and she wanted flowers to be a big central point of it all,” Wedding planner Bethany Sigrest said.

After meeting at a Christmas summer camp in 2010, the couple started dating in March 2013. He tried to date her before in the gap of three years, but Kate always turned him down. When he was pursuing graduation, he was succeeded to persuade to finally say ‘yes.’

Luke is an actor who is mainly popular for “Duck Dynasty.” It is an American reality television series on Arts & Entertainment Network (A&E) that highlights the lives of the Robertson family. The family is known for becoming wealthy for their family-operated business, Duck Commander. Except Luke, the Robertson men are popularly known for their long beards and Christian views. He is the grandson of the grandson of family patriarch Phil Robertson.

Although the show has broken several records, the remark “anti-gay” of Phil Robertson in an exclusive interview with GQ magazine in December 2013 became a controversial issue that resulted in the indefinite suspension of the program. Later, followed by the public pressure on A&E to withdraw the suspension, he changed his comments within a week.
