“Dancing with the Stars” had abundance of surprises for its audience. The season 21 premiere this Monday was no different, albeit there were some awkward moments as the top five celebrities barged in with the scoring.
Kim Zolciak, who is a reality star in “Don’t Be Tardy” and former “Real Housewives of Atlanta,” was at the bottom of the scorecard. You may find it hard to believe but she managed only 12 points from 30. She partnered with Tony Dovolani, however, this is certainly a disappointing opening for Egyptian themed salsa.
According to people.com, the nervousness of the sexy blonde can be clearly made out in the ballroom, and judge Carrie Ann Inada was quite to note that. Carrie later stated that she was very scared, and Bruno Tonioli came out with a motivational note she got to deliver.
All the judges were of the same view on the performance of Kim Zolciak, however, there had been lower scores in ‘DWTS’ in the past. Kim Zolciak has earned her place among the few celebrities who scored 12 or less points. Something of that sort happened to Tucker Carlson back in 2006.
According to mlive.com, Zolicak was not only who had problems with scoring on Monday. Actor Gary Busey, chef Paula Deen, amd jockey Victor Espinoza all earned a meagre 15 points from 30. Soul legend Chaka Khan was able to scratch out only 13 points.
After the show, Zolciak faced the reporters with some confidence, saying that she is really proud of herself. Putting in all the effort and time and performing on the dance floor means a lot. Being in a reality TV show, I try to be myself as much as possible. It is a feat in itself to go out on stage in front of millions of fans and perform.
