E! Makes Announcement About Kelly Osbourne’s Decision To leave ‘Fashion Police’
Kelly Osbourne special guest at The Star – Celebrity magazine Cleo contributor whips up a storm at The Star, The Darling and Cherry Bar 2013

After a racial comment was released by ‘Fashion Police’ co-host Giuliana Rancic regarding her friend Zendaya’s dreadlocks, Kelly Osbourne had threatened of leaving ‘Fashion Police’ after being part of the show for five long years….and she definitely stuck to her word.

On Friday, Feb. 27, E! announced that Kelly Osbourne has left ‘Fashion Police’ to pursue other endeavours, though many suspect other reasons. They added that ‘Fashion Police’ will resume to its scheduled viewing on March 30, but final decisions on Osbourne’s replacement have not been settled into.

‘Fashion Police’ has been the source of criticism for the past few days due to one of its hosts, Giuliana Rancic making an offensive comment on actress Zendaya’s hair during the 2015 Oscars Awards. As it so happens, Zendaya is a good friend of Osbourne and so Osbourne wasted no time in defending her friend via social media and reportedly during the show as well though it wasn’t featured.

In response to Osbourne leaving the show, executive producer Melissa Rivers released a statement saying, “Kelly Osbourne is a friend and has been a wonderful part of the Fashion Police family. I will miss her terribly and wish her the very best in all of her future endeavors. As my mother [late ‘Fashion Police’ host Joan Rivers] always said, ‘The show must go on’ and I plan to continue in the same spirit.” Osbourne’s mother Sharon also tweeted on how proud she is of her daughter’s conviction and that she supports her decision to leave.

However, speculations have been popping up that Osbourne didn’t resign from the show but was let go. According to RadarOnline.com, Osbourne already had problems with the show since the death of her friend and previous co-host Joan Rivers last September 2014. Moreover, her Twitter rant regarding Rancic and ‘Fashion Police’ apparently cemented plans on letting her go.

Talks of Khloe Kardashian replacing Osbourne have also been on the rise, as well as the possibility of NeNe Leakes also coming on board for the show. It was previously rumoured that Leakes was among those suggested to replace Rivers upon her death last year, but the seat went on to Kathy Griffin.
