Another Marvel superhero movie is coming to theaters in 2015 and it’s “Ant-Man.” He may not be that popular like the other Marvel superheroes, but he is going to make a name for himself on the big screen pretty soon. Read on to find out more details about it, including Edgar Wright leaving the “Ant-Man” movie.

“Ant-Man” is currently on pre-production. The story is about Dr. Hank Pym, a biochemist, who uses his latest discovery. He had created a size-altering formula. Through this discovery, he was able to make a tool that helps him communicate and control insects.

Paul Rudd will play “Ant-Man”/Scott Lang, while Michael Douglas will be Hank Pym. Other cast members are still not officially released. However, according to New York Times’ Arts Beat, the director of the show, Edgar Wright (“Scott Pilgrim vs. the World”), has left the show due to creative differences. The good news is that Marvel is moving on and it looks like they already have a director to replace Wright’s position. But, this hasn’t been officially announced yet. “Ant-Man” fans, don’t worry because the movie release date will not be affected and you will still be able to see this Marvel movie on July 17, 2015.

Director James Gunn of “Guardians of the Galaxy” has expressed his opinion on the matter and posted it on his Facebook. Here’s an excerpt:

“It’s easy to try to make one party ‘right’ and another party ‘wrong’ when a breakup happens, but it often isn’t that simple. Or perhaps it’s even more simple than that – not everyone belongs in a relationship together. It doesn’t mean they’re not wonderful people. And that’s true of both Edgar Wright and Marvel. One of them isn’t a person, but I think you get what I mean,” said Gunn in his Facebook post.

We don’t know what really happened behind the parting of ways between Marvel’s “Ant-Man” and Edgar Wright. But, one thing’s for sure, though, even if Wright is off the project, the “Ant-Man” movie is still happening.
