CBS’s “Elementary” TV series, which has the famous creation of Sir Arthur Canan Doyle’s Sherlock and his partner Dr. Joan Watson in new avatar, is heading for its new season and so as the spoilers related to it. As per a new one, our main protagonist will move to other agencies for work following his violent outbreak with NYPD’s Oscar as shown in the finale of Season 3.
Yes, it was reported previously that Sherlock will lose his contract as a consulting detective with NYPD after his fight with Oscar. And now executive producer Rob Doherty, in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, said that after the incident, Sherlock became so sure about his services termination by NYPD. Previously, it was reported that Sherlock’s father will be seen in the upcoming season.
“As we start the season, he’s waiting to hear if the district attorney is going to bring charges against him for what he did to Oscar Rankin in the finale,” revealed Doherty in the same interview. He further said, “He and Joan have been very quietly sidelined. They’re both on pins and needles in that they don’t have a strong sense of what the district attorney is going to do. There’s a certain amount of sympathy for the situation Sherlock was put in, but at the same time, you just can’t lose your cool like that and work for the New York Police Department,” revealed Entertainment Weekly.
Doherty added that the first episode of season 4 will show Sherlock searching for other agencies who can offer job to both of them, him and Watson as co-working partners. Watson will also lose her job as an outcome of Sherlock’s fight, though she was not part of that fight but the agency is not willing to take her services while saying good bye to Sherlock.
About the first case of Sherlock in season 4, Doherty revealed that it will be based on “The Adventure of Wysteria Lodge,” a canonical story. And Patrick Page will be returning to reprise his role of Jonathan Bloom who has a history of greed for desperate women. This time, Page will be on the different side as he will ask for Sherlock’s help for proving him innocent in the case of his wife’s disappearance.
Well, it will be a shocker for us all and NYPD too if Sherlock leaves the job, but something shocking is on the card for all the Elementary fans. Let us see what will happen as the fourth season is slated for premiere on November 5 at 10 p.m. on CBS. So, tighten your seat belts for the same and stick to this place for more updates.
