“The Ellen DeGeneres Show” will not be leaving our Televisions anytime soon as it was reported that the show was renewed again! And guess who’s the show’s newest “awkward” guest…it’s none other than David Arquette. Read on.
According to Hollywood Reporter, the show was renewed for the 2016-17 season in 96 percent of the country.
Moreover, the daytime talk show was also able to picke up 10 NBC owned and operated stations and 179 additional stations.
The show’s renewal was announced by Valari Staab, NBC Owned Television Stations president and Ken Werner, Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution president last Monday, Sept. 21, 2015.
“Ellen is quite simply the best. Day in and day out she and her team produce a unique and compelling hour of entertainment, which is appointment television for legions of women. We are absolutely thrilled that NBC, Ellen, Warner Bros. and all of our station partners will be continuing our successful relationship for years to come.” – via Hollywood Reporter.
On the other hand, DeGeneres’ newest guest has made many viewers uncomfortable as Arquette messed up his interview with the comedienne host. ‘Is he just acting, tired or drunk?’ that’s what viewers keep asking as they expressed their thoughts on Twitter.

The 44-year-old actor appeared on DeGeneres’ show last Friday, but instead of making the people enjoy the show, most viewers pointed out that it really feels awkward watching Arquette like that.

@TheEllenShow Wanda Sykes looked beautiful on your show today; but what was UP with David Arquette? Awkward!

David Arquette is so awkward on Ellen right now that it's making me uncomfortable

His overall “strange” display as a guest even made the viewers more uncomfortable as he slurs his words completely!
Arquette was with Wanda Sykes on the daytime talk show when things started to get so awkward. As DeGeneres starts her usual “Never Have I Ever” game, the “Scream” series actor and producer started to become “strangely” fidgety and giddy as he reacted and gave comments to every answer the three of them had.
However, according to Mail Online, a representative of Arquette clarified that the actor was just being himself.
“He always has a lot of fun on shows and if you look at other clips from other talk shows he has done, it’s pretty much the same. That’s just his personality!”—Mail Online
