Eminem got on to “Sway in the Morning” to deliver clever rhymes about Caitlyn Jenner and Miley Cyrus among others. Read on for more details.
MTV News reported Eminem freestyled on Sway Calloway’s radio show, “Sway in the Morning,” on Thursday, July 23, 2015. The eight minute long, mind-boggling display of rhyming skills took the internet by the storm by the weekend.
Eminem was right on the money when he lampooned a list of Hollywood’s biggest celebrities on air. The list includes Caitlyn Jenner, Brandy, Miley Cyrus, Janet Jackson, Amanda Bynes, Hillary Clinton, Trina, Angelina Jolie, Scarlett Johansson, Rita Ora, Azealia Banks and Bill Cosby. Using their names, he came up with slick and shady rhymes that delighted his audiences and inspired many to consider rap as the new creative outlet.
“This a true statement, I see the b**ch in you, Caitlyn,” he rapped in freestyle, making his own beat. “I keep the pistol tucked like Bruce Jenner’s d–k, No disrespect, though, not at all, No pun intended, that took a lot of balls.”
While many claimed that Eminem was dissing the celebrities, he was quick to clear it up. By the end of the show, Eminem declared that if it was personal somebody would know. He was doing it all in the fun. This was just his way of having fun rhyming to famous names and coming up with ill rhymes that would delight the public with their cleverness.
Marshall Mathers aka Slim Shady, who also goes by the name of Eminem, has got a history of getting into trouble with celebrities. He has been in the news for dissing many celebrities in rhyme, most notable being Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Gianni Versace, Pamela Anderson, Jennifer Lopez, Insane Clown Posse and even his longtime mentor and producer Dr. Dre.
Eminem was on the show promoting the movie soundtrack to “Southpaw.”
