Eminem Claims He Is Gay in His Cameo Performance in ‘The Interview’

Eminem still has a sense of humor despite his trademark as an angry and violent rapper.

The famous rhyme buster was famous for insulting different celebrities, but he was not afraid of mocking himself as well. Eminem had a cameo in the almost-unreleased film “The Interview” and admitted he was gay. It received critical attention from fans and viewers because of its hilarity and shock factor.

The 42-year-old musician was in the first part of the movie and played as guest of James Franco’s character, Dave Skylark, in his show. He said his confession casually in their one-on-one interview which made the scene hilarious. Skylark even asked him twice if what he heard was correct.

The most controversial part was Eminem confessed he wrote homophobic lyrics because he was homosexual. He also mentioned he liked men. He said he wrote songs because of fear, not hate. He was even surprised because his real gender was not figured out by the public. He told Skylark he was playing “gay peek-a-boo” all along.

Although the confession was fake, fans freaked out about his statement like Seth Rogen’s character, Aaron Rapaport, in the film. Rapaport exclaimed it was the greatest moment in the history of homosexuals.

Many viewers tweeted about how hilarious Eminem’s scene was. The rapper received kudos for his performance.

However, some fans took the joke too seriously.

Throughout his career, the “Slim Shady” rapper was criticized in being vulgar with lyrics about gay people. In his song “Rap God,” one of the offensive parts was “Little gay-looking boy, so gay I can barely say it with a straight face.”

When it comes to insulting public figures, Eminem was the most fearless. He rapped about having sex with Jennifer Lopez, ripping Hilary Clinton’s tonsils out, hating singers like The Backstreet Boys, Ricky Martin, N’Sync and Britney Spears, claiming Christina Aguilera was a two-timer, sticking a pin on Jessica Simpson’s head and calling former President George W. Bush a monster.
