The actress then followed her tweet with a reminder that you don’t need a prince to become a princess and added a link, which features a scene from the 1995 film, “A Little Princess,” which says, “All Girls are Princesses.”
On Feb. 16, 2015, Woman’s Day claimed that the British royal has been secretly dating Watson. According to the outlet’s source, Harry sent Watson an email after learning of her breakup with rugby player and former boyfriend, Matthew Janney.
While some fans became dismayed after learning that Prince Harry wasn’t dating Watson, we’ve compiled a short list of reasons why the 24-year-old actress doesn’t need to date a prince to become a princess.
1. Emma Watson is already the Princess in the “Harry Potter” series.
Okay, she’s not literally the Princess in the “Harry Potter” series, but fans loved her character as Hermione Granger. It’s also no doubt how she rose to popularity at the young age of 10 after starring in “Harry Potter.” Watson’s net worth is said to be an estimated £30 million, according to the Sunday Times Rich List, via Yahoo! UK. So much for needing a Prince, huh?
2. She’ll soon become the princess in Disney’s new live-action “Beauty and the Beast.”
Watson recently announced on her Facebook page that she will be starring as Belle in Disney new live-action, “Beauty and the Beast.” We all know how the innocent Belle warmed the heart of the Beast, who turned out to be a handsome prince. And of course, just like any other fairy tale, Belle becomes a princess, and they lived happily ever after.
3. Emma Watson is the princess of all women.
Watson recently took a stand for women as the UN’s Women Global Goodwill Ambassador. According to Women’s Agenda, Watson recently launched the next phase for the HeforShe campaign, which aims to empower women all over the world and promote gender equality.
So basically, yes, Watson doesn’t need to date Prince Harry to become a Princess. She’s already a Princess in the hearts of her fans.
