According to the exclusive report on Deadline, actor Adam Rodriguez will be spotted on “Empire” for it’s second season as Cookie Lyon’s (Taraji P. Henson), as he will be portraying a former EMT named Laz Delgado.

Aside from this, he was also appeared on “Ugly Betty”, “Reckless”, “The Night Shift”, and starred alongside Taraji P. Henson in the 2009 movie “I Can Do Bad All By Myself”, making this the second time the two have worked alongside each other.

Also, in other “Empire” news, TV Line also reported earlier on that two recurring cast members in the first season have been promoted to become regular characters in the upcoming season.

According to the article, Porsha, who is portrayed by Ta’Rhonda Jones, Cookie’s ever suffering assistant, has been promoted to become a series regular, which means that fans and viewers will hear more of Porsha’s hilarious comebacks.

Also, not to be taken lightly is Becky, portrayed by Gabourey Sibide, who is Lucious Lyon’s (Terrence Howard) sympathetic and caring assistant.
