When you are in Hollywood, it is very unlikely or rare for an actor and a director to team up once more in another film, but not for veteran Tim Burton if “Dark Shadow’s” Eva Green would sign up into his movie adaptation of Ransom Riggs’ novel, “Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children.” Read on for further details.
World-renowned director Tim Burton sure has a knack in choosing the same actor for more than a single project. We were able to witness this firsthand in the way he kept recasting Johnny Deep in a number of his movies like “Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street,” “Corpse Bride” and “Dark Shadows.” This time around, there is a possibility that he will be partnering once more with the lead antagonist of “Dark Shadows,” Eva Green.
In the latest report of Variety, Green is going through thorough negotiations with Fox as she is to be casted as Miss Peregrine in Riggs’ novel. Her character is the concierge of an orphanage for children possessing unique and very inexplicable abilities. However, she is not entirely the main protagonist of the book.
Screen Rant explained that the book is centered on a youth named Jacob who investigates the abandoned house that used to be a home for special type of kids. He ventures on to such journey, hoping to connect the pieces together based on the stories he has heard from his late grandfather.
As of late, there are no confirmations whatsoever to her signing up to the movie deal, but if she does, it will be her second time working with the veteran dark-themed director. You have seen them working together with “Dark Shadows,” but it seemed the movie was not overly praised for its eerie yet comedic glory. Still though, her appearance and character portrayal was one of the things that brought some distinction to the negatively critiqued film.
Eva Green’s last appearance on screen was in the recent epic Greek mythology adapted movie, “300: Rise of an Empire.” She is definitely one to be cast as a damsel who can kick some serious butt as she will be seen next in Robert Rodriguez action movie, “Sin City: A Dame to Kill For.”
In the light of her possible re-team up with Burton, it would seem that “Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children” is a movie worth watching in the big screen. It is penned by “The Woman in Black’s” screenwriter Jane Goldman. Talk about back to back eeriness. We can only hope that such positively horrifying team up would really materialize in time for the production of the film.
That’s the scoop on the ongoing negotiation of Eva Green’s possible re-team up with Tim Burton. Keep tabs on Movie News Guide (MNG) for the latest happenings in the entertainment world.
