Everything You Want To Know About The ‘Assassin’s Creed’ Movie!

Michael Fassbender will have a double role in “Assassin’s Creed,” Ubisoft’s Azaizia Aymar revealed on twitter earlier this month, along with a ‘kickass new animus’ and ‘familiar faces’ from the video-games. Read on for more details.

Though the “Assassin’s Creed” film adaptation has only just started filming, the excitement level for the movie is at an all time high. Will it be faithful to the game? Will it be too faithful to the game and not have a new storyline? Well, worry not, here’s everything you need to know about the “Assassin’s Creed” movie to impress your friends:

“Assassin’s Creed” will reunite the main team of “Macbeth,” director Justin Kurzel with leading actors Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard. And since “Macbeth” looks totally awesome, we are betting “Assassin’s Creed” will be so as well.

Fassbender plays an all new historical assassin character, Aguilar, to be based in the 15th century Spain, at the time of the inquisition. He also plays the modern day descendant of the assassin clan, Callum Lynch, who must sift through his ancestors memories and inherit their abilities. Just like the game.

Indeed, Aymer has confirmed that the movie will be a part of the video-game Canon, that it will inherit the game’s mythology and expand on it. We might even see some familiar faces from the game.

So what is new in the movie? Aymer is promising a kick-ass new animus. And that we will definitely see ‘Abstergo’ and Michael Fassbender jumping into bales of hay.

Ubisoft, in the mean time, is creating a giant theme-park on “Assassin’s Creed” in Kuala Lampur, Malaysia.

Assassin’s Creed” movie is scheduled to hit theaters on Dec. 21, 2016.
