According to Us Weekly, the CMAs has announced on October 19 that Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert are among the scheduled performers at the 2015 CMA (Country Music Association) Awards. The CMA Awards is scheduled to air on ABC, on November 4, live from Nashville.
The CMAs revealed that Shelton is “nominated for Musical Event of the Year” along with Ashley Monroe, who is his ex-wife Lambert’s best pal and Pistol Annies bandmate. Fans would also watch the performances of Eric Church, Hank Williams Jr., Kacey Musgraves, and Keith Urban, at the show that is set to be hosted by Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley. The CMAs roster will also include Luke Bryan and Jason Aldean.
The 39-year-old Shelton and 31-year-old Lambert confirmed their split and divorce on July 20, after four years of marriage. The ex-couple also revealed that they are parting away with heavy-hearts. Shelton and Lambert would be reuniting for the first time in public at the show, three months after their divorce.
In spite of breaking up suddenly, the exes were cool and have always remained to be on friendly terms through social media.
According to Closer WEEKLY, while announcing their split through The Associated Press, the exes stated, “This is not the future we envisioned and it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately. We are real people, with real lives, with real families, friends and colleagues. Therefore, we kindly ask for privacy and compassion concerning this very personal matter.”
