If there’s one thing people can’t avoid having, it’s having very bad days — you wake up and all is good and well (yeah right!) then the rest of the day goes on as a nightmare. Well, if you think you’ve had your own set of bad days, try comparing it with Monica from Disney Channel’s latest original movie “Bad Hair Day.”
Starring Laura Marano from “Austin & Ally” as the poor damsel in distress of the day and Leigh-Allyn Baker from “Good Luck Charlie,” “Bad Hair Day” is the story of how one schoolgirl (Marano) who just wants to be the prom queen ends up in a wild goose chase with a very “suspecting” but clever cop (Baker) in order to get even with Pierce, a jewel thief played by Christian Campbell.
In an exclusive movie clip posted by Variety, Monica (Marano) is shown talking to Liz (Baker) in her house, with what may look like the worst hairstyle one could think of wearing in prom night. Intent on pinning Monica as the jewel thief she was looking for, Liz not so subtly tries to get Monica to confess of her “crimes.” With Monica evading her questions (well hey, she is innocent after all!), Liz practically summarized Monica’s personal life after just seeing her around 30 seconds ago, leaving her tongue-tied.
“Bad Hair Day” is the first Disney Channel original movie that Baker will be starring in, as well as being the movie’s executive producer. The rest of the cast includes Alain Goulem as Monica’s dad, Jake Manley as Monica’s boyfriend Kyle, Kiana Madeira as Monica’s best friend, and Christian Paul as Liz’s former partner.
Disney Channel’s original movie “Bad Hair Day” will premiere on Disney Channel on Friday, Feb. 13, 2015, at 8:00 p.m. Prior to its TV premiere, on Friday, Feb. 6, 2015, the movie will be made available on Disney Channel on Demand and for verified WATCH Disney Channel users of the WATCHDisneyChannel.com and the WATCH Disney Channel app. On Saturday, Feb. 14, 2015, the movie will be made available for purchase in Amazon Instant Video Store, Apple iTunes and Google Play.
