Theroux and Aniston tried as much as possible to keep mum about their matrimonial ceremony in order to get the privacy they want from the hordes of paparazzi who would definitely want to have a front row for this event. Theroux admitted to Daily News that he didn’t have fun while they were planning it. He went to explain: “Part of the fun of planning a wedding is telling people and we had to keep it under wraps.”
However, as soon as the whole wedding ceremony is finally finished, he felt a 360-degree change. The same article shared his insights: “It was like your blood pressure goes down two PSI. It’s not like life is completely different. It’s a beautiful thing.”

But how were they able to hide the exclusive event in complete secrecy?
According to People Magazine, the couple had concealed the wedding as a different event instead. It was the ‘birthday bash’ supposedly for Theroux who just turned a year older last Aug. 10, 2015. They exchanged vows in the backyard of their home located at Bel Air, California last Aug. 5, 2015. Then, the following day they flew to Bora Bora where their honeymoon took place.
It was star-studded gathering as ET News reported. There were 70 guests who graced the event who are their closest friends and family. Celebrities including Lisa Kudrow, Howard Stern, Courtney Cox, Emily Blunt, Tobey Maguire, Jimmy Kimmel, Jason Bateman, and Ellen DeGeneres were all invited.
