EXO, the Chinese-South Korean boy band, has stepped into acting careers, while continuing to make incredible performance in music. Read on to find out more details.
According to KDramaStars, EXO has become one of the leading boy bands since its establishment in 2011. It seems that the now-nine member K-pop group is trying to “become the next big acting idol group.”
Chen, Kai, and Sehun have appeared on “EXO Next Door,” the famous Naver TV cast web drama. While the three are yet to involve in more dramatic roles, most of the other members of the group are also interested in acting.
The most popular EXO member D.O. (Do Kyung Soo) has been receiving great compliments for his performance in “Cart” and “It’s Okay, That’s Love.” He is also starring in the highly anticipated movies “Pure Love” and “Hyung.”
There have been speculations that Baekhyun would act in “Moon Lovers,” a hit Chinese series adaptation. If the rumors were confirmed, Baekhyun would be joining with handsome and skilled stars including Hong Jong Hyun, Lee Joon Gi, and Kang Ha Neul. Moreover, Baekhyun would also act in the film “Dokgo” opposite to “Orange Marmalade” star Yeo Jin Goo.
Moreover, Xiumin has been appreciated for his role in “Falling for Challenge,” a mini web series. Chanyeol appeared in 2015 romantic comedy film “Salut D’Amour,” and in upcoming Korean-Chinese movie “So I Married My Anti-fan.” It seems that Suho would act in “Glory Day.”
Lay appeared in two films “Oh My God” and “To Be a Better Man.” He also made his appearance in mainland variety program, “Go Fighting!” Indeed, KMusic recently reported that he received the Music Pioneer of the year award at The Wind Of The East Ceremony on Nov. 15.
