The musical group Exo will join many Korean celebrities in a charity auction, the benefits of which will go to children in need. Other notable celebrities who will give away their cherished items will include actor Yoo Ah In and TV entertainer Yoo Jae Suk.
The Korea Times reports that many celebrities will be giving away some of the entertainment industry memorabilia and personal gear in an auction to support charity for children living with low-income families. The auction will include dozens of items. It will include items that have appeared in TV shows and feature films and personal items of some of the notable celebrities in movie, television, sports, and music industry.
The local auction house, K Auction, which will be hosting the event, issued a press release that declared that the profits from the event will go towards support for children from low-income families in South Korea.
Dozens of items will be auctioned off for charity. These will include personal and industry memorabilia such as musical instruments, caps, bats, shirts, and backpacks. The items will be up for auction only until Oct. 27, 2015, after which the auction will be called off.
Every item at the auction will have a starting price. Popular items will be priced higher. For example, a t-shirt that once belonged to actor Yoo Ah In will have a starting price of roughly $130 which amounts to roughly 150,000 Korean won, while a backpack entertainer Yoo Jae Suk used for a popular TV show will have a starting bid price of roughly $400 amounting to about 500,000 Korean won.
EXO will obviously be selling off some of their goods too, so fans who live in South Korea should circle on Oct. 27, 2015, as the D-day to spend some money. The group is busy making tour preparations for their Japanese tour which starts in November.
K- Pop Starz reported the news first.
