The last three installments have been filled with an ocean of action stars. We have seen Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Terry Crews, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Bruce Willis, Chuck Norris, Harrison Ford, Mel Gibson, Steve Austin amongst many others. So naturally when rumors about a fourth installment in the franchise hits, fans are bound to get excited. Wait till you hear who is going to play the villain in the movie. Read on for more details.
According to Venture Capital Post, after lots of encouragement from fellow “Expendables,” Stallone has started writing the script for a fourth installment and started to cast actors. The media outlet reported that Hulk Hogan and Dwayne Johnson are being considered to play the main antagonists in the upcoming movie. On his involvement in the fourth movie, the veteran wrestler said that he has been in talks with Stallone and how they discussed different possibilities about whether he could run and jump. He also stated that despite the fact that he can’t run that fast or jump higher, he is sure that they will be able to find a good stuntman capable to do that for him.
Other cast members like Statham and Schwarzenegger have been keen on doing more “Expendables” movie. Statham in one of the interviews spoke about doing as many “Expendables” movie as Stallone wants. On the other hand, Schwarzenegger always believed that there was room for one more movie in the franchise.
Keeping all of this in mind, Stallone has been looking to pump the franchise with new faces so that it could get a fresher perspective. “Expendables 3” saw a younger team joining the action veterans so maybe the story could continue using them.
Christian Post added that Johnson has also expressed interest in playing a villain in the next movie. The “Hercules” actor once spoke about being a part of a future “Expendables” movie. Cinema Blend had cited the Rock’s comment in one of their reports. According to him, he would not want to be on the “Expendables” team and be friends with them. Instead, he would want to hunt every single one of them and tell them to send their souls to heaven because he would kick their a**. Whether or not Stallone heard about this comment, he would love to have him on the bad side because everyone would want to see tough guys on both the sides rumble.
