The rockers of “Fall Out Boy” will team up with “Get Me Some of That” singer, Thomas Rhett for a performance at next month’s Country Music Association Awards (CMA Awards).
The 49th Annual CMA Awards will broadcast in a month, now the show’s organizers are teasing the fans by revealing unique pairings of artist who will perform at the live three-hour event on November 4. Thomas Rhett, who is nominated for the New Artist of the Year Award, will perform along with the alternative rock band, “Fall Out Boy.”
The American rock band, “Fall Out Boy” was formed in Chicago in 2001. The band has mainly four lead players, Patrick Stump (guitarist), Pete Wentz (Bassist), Joe Trohman (Guitarist), and Andy Hurley (Drummer). The collaboration with another country-music signer is not going to be the first time when the rock band is performing with someone else. In 2013, “Fall Out Boy” joined Band Perry for an episode of the genre-hopping CMT Crosswords Series.
At the same time, Thomas Rhett’s ‘Tangled Up’ was released last month and is debuted at #3 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart.
In an interview with Rolling Stone Country, earlier this year, Thomas Rhett said that at this moment, old music is becoming new as it is refreshing. “It’s been going on in pop for a long time, and I think with songs like [Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars’] ‘Uptown Funk’ and the Weeknd’s ‘I Can’t Feel My Face’ — which sounds exactly like a Michael Jackson song — everybody is taking what they learned and loved from their idols and trying to make it into what they do today.”
It was also announced by Rolling Stone Magazine that Entertainer of the Year, Hank Williams Jr. and first-time nominee in that category, Eric Church will open the show by a joint performance by singing, “Are You Ready for the Country.”
The Annual CMA Awards will air live on Wednesday, November 4th, at 8pm on ABC.
