Fans Take to Twitter Worrying for Chevy Chase’s Health since ‘SNL 40′

During the 40th anniversary special of “Saturday Night Live,” the stage was graced by SNL’s many hosts including those from way back in its growing years. Of course, this included Chevy Chase, who showed up looking rather ill, thus prompting worried fans to gush over it via Twitter. Read on to learn more about it.

Inquistr reported that Chase, who was original SNL cast member, was being interviewed by NBC’s Carson Daly. It was mainly about his experiences as an SNL cast member during its debut back in 1975. But viewers were quick to note that Chase didn’t look too good as he sounded off and was even sweating profusely during the interview.

“I left after the first year because I thought this isn’t going anywhere… I liked [hosting]. I liked it. But I missed it more for not being a part of the cast because I left after one year, I had reasons to leave… But I liked it a lot, and I still like it. I love Lorne [Michaels]. According to IBTimes,  Chase kept wiping his brow and later cut off his answer for a bit to apologize for it in the middle of the interview Many fans immediately took to Twitter to show their concern. Some even thought he might have a stroke right in the middle of the event.

For quite some time now, Chase was being worried upon due to his weight and health concerns. According to a report cited by the Chase has been tipping off scales with a weight of around 300 lbs last May 2014. And apparently, sometime on June 2014, Chase was rushed to a hospital because he was having breathing problems and was close to having a heart attack.
