The die-hard film aficionados every year congregate at Comic-Con International in San Diego to observe the launch of new trailers, photos, footages, new features and casts of the major worldwide studios. The final trailer of the upcoming movie “Fantastic Four” was premiered exclusively to the Comic-Con International visitors on Saturday night.
According to Digital Spy, Director Josh Trank clarified that his movie “Fantastic Four” consists of a group of people with mysterious superpowers and it will certainly emphasize on the characters’ lives before they attain powers.
“It is an origin but it almost works as a prequel of the characters before they become the iconic version of those characters. It is a group of friends who become a family,” Trank said.
According to Screen Rant, director Josh Trank and producer Simon Kinberg took the Hall H stage at the Comic-Con to discuss about the theme of family, motivation behind the film, and what to expect when the highly anticipated movie hits the screen this summer. They were accompanied by Miles Teller (Reed Richards alias Mr. Fantastic), Jamie Bell (Ben Grimm alias The Thing), Toby Kebbell (Victor Domashev alias Doctor Doom), Kate Mara (Sue Storm alias The Invisible Woman), and Michael B. Jordan (Johnny Storm alias The Human Torch).
“I want to show a side of the characters that I had never seen before, the more tragic side of the story,” Trank said.
Kebbell said that Doctor Doom is the “best villain of all time in any comic book ever,” who is highly egoist. He always want to prove himself as the best. Hence, he finds conflicts whenever Reed comes in his way.
The trailer also focuses on the young characters, mainly of Reed how “he evolved into the socially awkward scientist.” The trailer also features an action sequence with Johnny Storm alias The Human Torch, which seems to move at the velocity of light.
The movie will also emphasize on the extreme usage of superpowers, and also Doctor Doom’s plan to either destroy or take over the world.
“Fantastic Four” is scheduled to be released on Aug. 6 in the UK and Aug. 7, 2015 in the US.
