New rumors for the newest “Fantastic Four” reboot has surfaced, suggesting a different origin to one of its heroes, Invisible Woman, suggesting Sue Storm to be adopted. For more details on this story read on.

According to Schmoeville, a source confirms that Susan Storm is adopted. The premise of the reboot will feature African-American actor Michael B. Jordan as Johnny Storm and Kate Mara as Susan Storm, Johnny’s sister. It was generally speculated that Johnny might be adopted, but it was immediately debunked after Reg E. Cathay, who was also an African-American actor, was casted as Dr. Franklin Storm, the siblings’ father.

The reports also suggest that the group’s powers will not be caused by exposure to cosmic rays in space like in its traditional origin, but instead a science experiment gone wrong will give them powers. It was also said that  the experiment will open a portal to another dimension, a tad similar to the Ultimate Fantastic Four version.

Based on the Marvel Comics superhero team of the same name, the upcoming “The Fantastic Four” will be the third theatrical Fantastic Four film to be distributed by 20th Century Fox and a reboot of the Fantastic Four film franchise. The film is said to be based in part on the Ultimate Fantastic Four comic-books.

Josh Trank is set to direct from a script to be written by Jeremy Slater from a story conceived by Kinberg and Trank. It stars Miles Teller as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic, Kate Mara as Susan Storm/ Invisible Woman, Michael B. Jordan as Johnny Storm/Human Torch, Jamie Bell as Ben Grimm/The Thing, Toby Kebbell as Victor Von Doom/Doctor Doom, Reg E. Cathey as Dr. Storm and Tim Blake Nelson as Harvey Elder. Principal photography for the pic started in May 2014 and finished in August of the same year. The film was shot in location of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. A possible sequel is scheduled to be released on July 14, 2017

“The Fantastic Four” is scheduled for release on August 7, 2015 in North America, in 2D and 3D theaters.
