Will there be another “Fantastic Four” flop movie? Simon Kinberg already “figuring out” how to make a “Fantastic Four 2” whether we like it or not. Read on for more details.
As Cinemablend indicated, “Fantastic Four” film did not go quite well in the box office, it was even dubbed as the second-biggest flop of Summer 2015! Many moviegoers and movie critics did not like how the story flowed to the point where it was even thrashed by people in different review blogs. However, it seems like it didn’t affect the film’s writer and producer, Kinberg, as he announced that he’s already “focusing” on making a “Fantastic Four 2.”
In his recent interview with MTV News at the Toronto International Film Festival, Kinberg revealed that the sequel for the movie had already been planned prior to the released of the first one, saying that he wanted to move ahead with it.
“I’m really focused on the next one,” Kinberg said.
Adding on, Kinberg also expressed his disappointment in the outcome of the film. The producer admitted that he’s really disappointed that fans didn’t like the film as he cared more about them than he does to anyone else.
“Every time you make a movie, you want to make a great movie. It’s a ton of time and effort you put in…You’re waking up every morning being like, I want to go make a great movie. It was an opportunity to do that. I do believe there is a great ’Fantastic Four’ movie that we’ve made with that cast. So I’m gonna figure out what that is.”–MTV News
Moreover, Kinberg is hoping that the same cast, Miles Teller, Jamie Bell, Michael B Jordan and Kate Mara, will be able to reprise their roles as the main leads in the movie.
On the other hand, Mara, who played the role of Sue Storm who is also set to appear in “The Martian” said that it’s unlikely that the movie will have a sequel but in any case she expressed her desire to reprise her role as Sue.
