“Fantastic Four’s” Simon Kinberg confirms the teaser trailer release of the 2015 reboot. Read on for further details.
“Fantastic Four” producer and screenwriter Simon Kinberg confirmed that the teaser trailer for Fox’s “Fantastic Four” reboot will be attached to Matthew Vaughn’s “Kingsman: The Secret Service,” which is set to hit theaters on Feb. 13, 2015.
“I can confirm here that the teaser will be on Kingsman in theaters February 13,” Kinberg told Latino-Review. Moreover the producer also revealed that Josh Trank’s “Fantastic Four” will be reshooting for several days, “Fantastic Four will be doing 3-4 days of additional photography with director Josh Trank and some key cast members,” he added.
However, a recent report claims that an earlier release for the trailer might actually happen. Blending Cool reports that the trailer may be attached to “Kingsman: The Secret Service” UK release, which is set for a Jan. 29, 2015 release. Blending Cool’s information was provided by a PR from 20th Century Fox who claims that “a majority but not all” of the UK screenings will be showing the teaser.
Based on the Marvel Comics superhero team of the same name, the upcoming “Fantastic Four” will be the third theatrical “Fantastic Four” film to be distributed by 20th Century Fox and a reboot of the “Fantastic Four” film franchise. The reboot, which is said to be based in part on the Ultimate Fantastic Four comic-books, will see some changes from the traditional “Fantastic Four” comic book fans knew. For instance, Sue Storm and Johnny Storm will now be adopted siblings, with Johnny Storm to be portrayed by a black actor. The reboot will also be reinventing the origins of the villain Doctor Doom, whose now named Victor Domashev instead of Victor Von Doom. The Doom on the reboot is an anti-social programmer, which pretty much strays far from the ruler of the fictional Eastern European country of Latveria character in the comics.
“Fantastic Four” stars Miles Teller as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic, Kate Mara as Susan Storm/Invisible Woman, Michael B. Jordan as Johnny Storm/Human Torch, Jamie Bell as Ben Grimm/The Thing, Toby Kebbell as Victor Domashev /Doctor Doom, Reg E. Cathey as Dr. Storm and Tim Blake Nelson as Harvey Elder. Josh Trank is set to direct from a script to be written by Jeremy Slater from a story conceived by Kinberg and Trank.
Principal photography for the pic started in May 2014 and finished in August of the same year. The film was shot in location of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. A possible sequel is scheduled to be released on July 14, 2017. “Fantastic Four” is scheduled for release on Aug. 7, 2015 in North America, in 2D and 3D theaters.
