2NE’s CL is long been recognized in the Asian community for her multi-faceted talents, stunning looks, and cool fashion statement. She will soon be launching as a solo artist in her United States debut and as early as now, she’s placed in the spotlight not just in the music industry but also in the world of fashion. In fact, she was featured in Vogue.
According to Vogue, fashion gurus Jeremy Scott and Karl Lagerfield have a new apple of the eye for the latest scorching hot icon which is CL. Of course, they are huge names in the industry and that means CL is definitely making more waves for her solo career. The article compared 2NE1 to other KPOP groups wherein the former highlighted their “swagger” whereas the latter were more on “sweetness and light”.
The writer also named CL as “2NE1’s most prominent member and the embodiment of its edgy, genre-defying image”. There were a lot of fashion-related milestones that she has achieved which includes chosen as an endorser of cosmetic frontliner Maybelline, worked together with glamorous accessories store On Pedder, fired the runway for the DKNY silver anniversary show, and flaunted labels such as Moschino, Hood By Air, Chanel, and Vetements.
Her influence in Asia is definitely crossing borders now to the rest of the world as well. She has recently signed with Scooter Braun who has helped other artists like Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber.
For her music career, CL has gave glimpses of her cover art for her latest song entitled “Hello Bitches”, according to FuseTV. The single will first be heard this coming Saturday, Nov. 21.
This particular song will soon be downloaded for free from Soundcloud and it will be included with a choreography video. The track reflects her as it was described as “powerful and intense style, just as CL’s image.”
Hopefully, CL equalizes or surpasses her Asian achievements for her solo career.
