“Fast and Furious 8,” also being popularly called as “Furious 8” or “Fast 8” is trying hard to fill the void left by Paul Walker. The producers of the movie are realising it and know that even though “Fast and Furious” franchise are action movies, the audience is always most connected to characters in the film.
According to K-pop Starz, producer Neal H. Moritz said, “We’re trying to do what we always do, which is trying to come at it from a character point of view and figure out where the characters would go from here… We’re really talking about the characters, where they all sit right now. It’s a huge challenge.”
“Fast and Furious 8” will be the start of a new trilogy and they are in real need of new strong character apart from Dominic Toretto. Dom Toretto is also not known without Brian O’ Connor [Paul Walker] who was last seen bidding his last goodbye to the fast car world in order to start a family.
“Fast and Furious 8” will be needing some new character to carry the burden of the trilogy. It is a good call to make come back of old characters like Mia Toretto, who had seemed willing in the recent past to make a comeback.
Jordana Brewster, who plays Mia Toretto’s character, told Huffington Post Live via Bustle, “I don’t know [if I’d do another film], but it’s always dependent on the fans. If they want one and if there’s an appetite for it. We never want to jump the shark!”
Also, it is interesting to note that Cody Walker’s name from the rumoured stars list of “Furious 8” IMDb official page has been removed. Michelle Rodriguez is confirmed to be back for “Fast and Furious 8” but still doesn’t have her name up on the official page.
