The sequel to 2015 erotic film, “Fifty Shades of Grey” has finally got the director and now it looks like that the production will start soon. Although it’s still a mystery for Jack Hyde, the antagonist to Christian Grey. Read on for more details.
Earlier, it was reported that Ian Somerhalder wanted to be cast in “Fifty Shades” series. Although he was not cast as Christian Grey, he may get the chance to play another important role in the film. According to the Inquisitr, Somerhalder would make a great Jack Hyde since he has already played a dark and evil character “who may have some emotions that make him easier to relate to, but always seems to make mistakes.”
Other reports also suggest that hunky Theo James can also play Christian’s antagonistic counterpart. James is known for his role in the action-packed “Divergent” series and recently became the face of Hugo Boss’ perfume campaign. The star is pictured in black-and-white suits in the steamy campaign. James had channeled Christian Grey vibes in the new fragrance advertisement.
According to “Fifty Shades” Wikia, The 32-year-old Jack Hyde is a former Commissioning Editor at Seattle Independent Publishing (SIP). When he was a child, he lived in Detroit, MI with his parents. Jack’s father died in a bar fight while he was left with an alcoholic mother. The character has a violent childhood because of his years in the foster house where apparently, Christian Grey was also a resident.
It was also reported that “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” star Henry Cavill will play the role of Jack Hyde but in a recent interview with USA Today, Cavill confirmed that he is not featuring in “Fifty Shades Darker.” Cavill even added that he never had any discussion with Universal Pictures or with E.L. James herself.
“Fifty Shades Darker” is slated to release on Feb. 10, 2017, in the United States.
