The erotic novel turned movie, “Fifty Shades of Grey” might be getting a new cast member, Lily Allen, for its sequel, “Fifty Shades Darker.”

According to Mirror, the British singer is “in talks” to appear in the sequel. The newspaper claimed that Allen had the chance to talk to “Fifty Shades of Grey” director, Sam Taylor at one of Hollywood’s most exclusive hotel, the Chateau Marmont. The discussions reportedly lasted for more than an hour. Curious what they were talking about? Reports claim that Taylor offered Allen a role in the erotic movie.

Why not, right? Her brother, Alfie Allen, is doing so well in his acting career as the famous Theon Greyjoy of HBO’s “Game of Thrones.” It is in the blood, really.

The insider revealed that Taylor thought Allen’s personality will fit well with the character she had in mind. She says the singer is an “extremely talented” and “versatile” actress who will be perfect for the role.

“She is cool and young, and would bring a new edge to it,” Taylor said.

The news didn’t come off as a surprise especially since Taylor and Allen “moved in the same circles” in London. They could just be catching up, but we sure hope that we get to see Allen showcase her acting chops in the much-awaited sequel.

According to MailOnline, the “Smile” singer was spotted in Los Angeles where she had been to work on her new music and to attend to some personal matters. It was not purely a business trip for the singer as she was photographed meeting up with Mark Ronson, who was in America as a guest DJ at a post Oscar party.

Do you think Lily Collins will be a great addition to the “Fifty Shades of Grey” cast? Any guess on which character she’ll be taking on? Sound off in the comments below.
