“Fifty Shades Darker, ” which is a sequel to “Fifty Shades of Grey,” has already been making the rounds after having declared its release date. Several reports have also confirmed that the relationship between Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele will get even more raunchier, leaving the audience wanting for more.
If this is not enough than everyone should also know that the cast will also be returning for the third and final installment in the franchise “Fifty Shades Freed”. But there are some things that the makers should also be worried about before they start with their ambitious venture.
According to News Everyday, the studio, who already have Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson signed on to reprise their roles, have not really decided on who the director for their second installment will be. There were early speculations that the producers were in talks with some directors who could helm the movie but nothing has been confirmed yet.
Add to this is the author of the books E.L. James who recently made an announcement that she will be releasing a spin off book in the franchise which is said to be releasing on June 18. This new book will see the story from Christian Grey’s perspective and surprisingly no one had an idea that the author was writing this book, the same was earlier reported in The Hollywood Reporter. This book may or may not serve as the fourth film in the franchise as producers Universal Studios have not really decided if they are interested in buying the movie rights for this book as well.
As far as the lead actors are concerned, their appearances in the films are controlled by the studio, which in some way own the characters Grey and Steele and may also take a decision if they want to see both the actors if they adapt this spin-off book for the silver screen. There are reports that even if the spin-off book is adapted for a movie, the studio might just consider casting other actors for the kinky characters Grey and Steele respectively.
Till the time everything is sorted, the studio is also looking into the pay checks of both the actors who are asking for a significant raise for the second installment since the first one was such a hit. There were reports that Jamie Dornan was offered a lump sum advance if he agrees to go for frontal nudity. The actor’s decision for the same is not known.
