“Fifty Shades Darker” movie trailer was released in May. But the fans of erotic drama thriller movie has mixed feelings about the sequel. “Fifty Shades of Grey,” became Universal Pictures’ biggest film of 2015 but some were worried that the second instalment of the “Fifty Shades” series may not live up to its hype.
It was earlier stated by different media giants that the anticipated sequel of “Fifty Shades of Grey,” will be much darker than its predecessor. Even the protagonists of the films, Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson said that “Fifty Shades Darker” would be a thriller movie.
According to Yibada, there were speculations that the producers of the film will change the tone of the movie from sex to suspense. But according to Movie Pilot, the earlier reports were meant only to hype the upcoming movie and now the studio wants to take a different approach towards the book’s adaptation.
“Fifty Shades of Grey” earned a whopping $569 million in worldwide box office and now media giants thinks that “Fifty Shades Darker” will break its predecessor’s record at the box-office even if it receives the same mixed review like “Fifty Shades of Grey.”
It is also reported by Belfast Telegraph, that Jamie Dornan had addressed the rumors of him romancing his co-star Dakota Johnson as ‘total b*****s.’ Even the Gossip Cop busted the rumors of the on-screen couple having flames ignited off-screen.
But now it all seems like the love affair, and the rumors are just to hype the movie. But we don’t think that a movie with a theme of sex and power requires any publicity of this kind.
“House of Cards” director James Foley has been offered director’s job for the upcoming erotic drama film. “Fifty Shades Darker” is slated to have a 2017 release.
