“Fifty Shades Darker” is making snail-like steps towards production. There had been many issues with the commencement of production for the sequel to blockbuster hit “Fifty Shades of Grey”. The new reports have emerged saying that it had been budget issue that had been troubling the producers.
There are reports that Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan keeping in mind the success of “Fifty Shades of Grey” and, demand of more erotic and nudity in “Fifty Shades Darker” movie, have asked for high payouts. Both Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson were paid $250,000 for first installment of “Fifty Shades” franchise.
Looking at the demand and success of “Fifty Shades of Grey,” both the actors have put forward a 7-figure payout demand from the production team. According to Youth Health Magazine, “Now, they are reportedly asking for a 7-figure sum – something that producer Dana Brunetti is not too thrilled about – hence, the delay.”
Meanwhile, Dakota Johnson had also expressed her doubts over the “Fifty Shades” franchise since, Sam Taylor-Johnson moved out as director. In her interview with Empire Online, Dakota Johnson said that she has recently met “House of Cards” director James Foley, who will now be directing “Fifty Shades Darker,” and she feels excited now.
Dakota Johnson added, “It’s quite exciting. There was a moment of being afraid, because I didn’t know what it was going to be like.”
“Fifty Shades Darker” movie is scheduled to release on February 10, 2017. The key characters of “Fifty Shades Darker” namely, obsessive boss Jack Hyde, former submissive Leila Williams and Mrs Robinson, all are still left to be cast.
As previously reported, Charlize Theron has busted the rumors of being casted as Mrs Robinson in “Fifty Shades Darker” movie.
The script of the movie is by Niall Leonard along with author EL James.
